About the Role
• Advises the Chair of the Board on appointing volunteers to key leadership positions, including oversee of positions to committee chair and task forces.
• Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Chair or the Board, such as overall brand awareness, process implementation, business development, and program expansion.
• Promotes the organization in the community.
• Identify emerging issues and professional and market trends, and propose strategies to solve problems or seize opportunities.
• Work together to decide on key issues that affect the overall growth and development of the organization.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with natural affinity for public speaking
• Develops and maintain business relationships and communicating with donors, partners, and other stakeholders.
• Enlists financial support of $XXX to the organization for student or event sponsorships, ticket sales, or individual donations.
• Stays informed about committee matters, prepares for meetings, and reviews.
• Attends 75% of all monthly online Executive Board Meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor Degree in Education, Business, Political Science, and four years related experience required. May give credit towards years of experience if attained a degree higher than a Bachelor Degree. Nonprofit experience is a plus.
• Communication Skills: Effective business writing skills and the ability to communicate clearly with all levels of staff with an attention to organizational structure and department responsibilities.
• Computer Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel.
• Personal Characteristics: An effective self-starter with an extensive background in research, who can perform independently with clear, precise, and compelling writing skills.
Demonstrated ability to write successful proposals.
About the Company

Working directly with the Chair of the Executive Board ensures that the future direction and all programs of Clearpath Discovery are logistically moving forward in all aspects. As a Board Member you will assists and advise the Chair in providing independent, efficient leadership. At the same time, each Board Member will be assigned a specific task to carry out each year in regard to the functioning, responsibilities, and effectiveness of the Executive Board.
